Jim Lucchese has worked at the intersection of music and technology for nearly 20 years. Today, Lucchese is CEO of the industry’s leading music intelligence company, The Echo Nest, acquired by Spotify, the world’s largest subscription streaming music service. He currently oversees all aspects of The Echo Nest, with a recent focus on integration with Spotify. As part of Spotify, Lucchese is also exploring ways to apply technology, data and insights to help artists build their audiences and grow their revenues. Before The Echo Nest, he was a music lawyer at Greenberg Traurig, specializing in music and digital media deals. Clients included multi-platinum and independent artists, music publishers, digital entertainment companies and branded entertainment companies. Prior to GT, Lucchese held sales and corporate development positions at Hughes, where he managed market development and sales.
