Thad Eckhoff

Thad softly washed his first house in 1982 in rural Mississippi. He was working for his mom's painting business and had to prep houses by spraying them down with Dawn and bleach with a pump up and rinsing them with a garden hose before breaking out the scraper and sandpaper. He hated it. So he moved to the New Orleans area and worked for a couple of different Fortune 500 companies in sales positions- shirt and tie, mahogany desk, private office, lots of expensive sales training, lots of stress.

Thad got completely burned out on sitting in an office for 50-60 hours a week in the spring of 2004 and decided to take a week off. That week became a month leave of absence... that stretched through the summer. At that point he said, “I don't like my job and I don't think I'm going to go anymore.” He worked full time for a friend's window cleaning business while starting a janitorial and carpet cleaning company that added pressure washing and roof cleaning. After Hurricane Katrina that company moved back to Mississippi, became Apex Services, and focused on softly washing houses, buildings, and roofs.

Thad now happily lives with his family and Boston Terriers way out in the boonies and has fully re-embraced his backwoods upbringing. He spends his time selling, hunting, fishing, and selling. He loves it.
